Dirtbag Ales is proud to present an innovative approach to a time honored brew. “The Kölsch” pairs the finest ingredients with traditional brewing techniques and our own Dirtbag spin to bring to life and body to a refreshing, citrus infused masterpiece. The Blood Orange Kölsch starts with a pronounced citrus note provided by blood oranges that finishes with a hint of raspberry. A perfect balance of hops and malt that is assertive, but not overpowering, great for enjoying by itself or with a meal.
We have taken two renowned American hops and paired them to create a fresh take on the American India Pale Ale: Cascade and Centennial. Both hops are continuously added throughout the boil bring a balanced hop profile that is combined with a smooth malt background. This beer is hoppy enough for the hophead, yet refined enough for the casual drinker.
We use locally roasted coffee beans, from Cumberland Coffee Roasters, to cold brew coffee over 24 hours. Coffee that tastes the way it smells; roasted velvet sweetness without a harsh bite, combines with our Porter to bring a decadent rich flavor that’s smoothly rounded with a healthy dosage of lactose. This brew started as a special cask offering of our Porter and quickly gained its own notoriety, for good reason.
A smash is a unique brewing style in which a single hop and a single malt are utilized. The Weiner Smash is light straw to pale golden in color with a crisp, light body with a slight punch coming in at 6%. With a hint of spices from the Belgian yeast and brewed with Vienna malts this easy drinking ale is a favorite of light beer enthusiasts and people just venturing into the craft beer scene.
Bon Chans or “Good Luck” Saison; Its name alludes to the Haitian god of agriculture from which the Azacca Hops used to brew this Saison get their name. Our grain is a fifty-fifty split of crisp pilsner malt and red wheat malt to give it a clean finish with a full mouthfeel. During the boil we add Styrian Golding and Sorachi Ace hops to enhance the spicy, pepper- like character of the yeast used during fermentation.
This light, bubbly concoction starts off with The Blood Orange Kolsch infused with various fruit juices and sparkling wine. This crowd pleasing brew is never made the same way twice. It is made once a month and is on tap until the keg runs dry. Stop in to see why this is our favorite brunch beverage.
Hop Candy is a pale straw colored, wet hopped pale ale with a nice hop flavor and aroma. This slightly sweet beer is generously hopped with Zeus, Chinook, Cascade and Crystal 120 hops. Wet hopping is when full hop cones are added during the boil.
This seasonal pumpkin ale is unlike any other pumpkin beer you've had, subtle hints of pumpkin and spicy yeast notes dominate the pallet on this light caramel colored ale. The Saison de citrouille leaves bubbles and a slightly bitter after taste lingering on your tongue. Stop in to try this beer before it's gone
